Entertaining/Light Reading – Harry Potter

I finally decided to start the Harry Potter series.  I needed something to read that was not so detailed or industry specific.  Now, I am hooked and on book #4 after 3 weeks!

So far, books 1 – 3 have tracked the movies pretty well.  Book 4 is starting to deviate…for the better!  I can’t wait to see how the series ends!

“The 5000 Year Leap: A Miracle That Changed the World” – W Cleon Skousen

I was finally able to get some “free” time to finish this book this past weekend. I am glad I did! This book is going to be a spring-board for more books along this subject.

America is such a great nation and hopefully we can find our way back to our roots!

“Meltdown: A Free-Market Look at Why the Stock Market Collapsed, the Economy Tanked, and Government Bailouts Will Make Things Worse” – Thomas E Woods Jr, Ron Paul

This is Thomas Woods/Ron Paul’s take on the current meltdown of the USA economy. Very similar thoughts, explanations, so far, of Thomas Sowell’s book, The Housing Boom and Bust.

The later chapters definitely focus on the Federal Reserve and the Central Bank. It futher discusses the root cause of inflation and the mispercetions that fly frequently in the main stream media.

“The Housing Boom and Bust” – Thomas Sowell

This is a great read for people that want to take a look back on the housing bubble. It will frustrate you when it comes to the political explanations of how we got here. This is one of the first books I have read that takes a look at it from all angles regarding the current boom/bust cycle.
